World Cup in Soccer 2025 - in Ringkøbing

Saturday 13 September 2025 we’re hosting a local World Cup tournament in Ringkøbing!

Did you know that more than 90 nationalities live in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality? That’s something worth celebrating!

So – as part of Welcome September, Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality and Ringkøbing IF (RIF) invite you to join our very own World Cup in Soccer.

On Saturday 13 September, we celebrate community, diversity, and the joy of soccer – across cultures and languages.

Everyone is welcome!

The tournament is FREE and open to all adults who enjoy playing (or just watching!) soccer.
 

Practical info:

• Where: Ringkøbing IF (RIF), Fasers Led 2, 6950 Ringkøbing
• When: 11:00–15:00
• Food & drinks: You can buy food and drinks on-site. You’re also welcome to bring your own – just not inside the clubhouse.
• Spectators are welcome – come and cheer!
• Participation is free, but sign-up is required
   

Game format: Five-a-Side Soccer

• 5 players per team (4 outfield + 1 goalkeeper)
• Goalkeeper must stay inside the goal area
• No offside and no throw-ins – the ball is played in with the foot
• Match time: 2 x 8 minutes per game
• Age: 16 and up (no upper age limit)
• Focus on tactics and fair play – not physical contact
• Rough tackles = yellow card → 3-minute suspension or until the next goal

Games are played outdoors.

Teams are encouraged to wear matching shirts or something in the colors of their country.

Soccer shoes and shin guards are recommended if you have them.

More than one team can represent the same country.
